![]() Lawn care service season runs from approximately April 1, through November 1, (actual start and end dates are dependent on the needs and condition of the lawn.) Since these services are customized to each property, we are unable to give you a standard price, but would be glad to give you a free estimate on any of the services listed below. STANDARD SERVICES: Spring Cleanup: (Approximately April 1 - May 15, as weather permits): Service includes thorough removal of leaves and clippings from turf areas with collection systems attached to mowers, cleaning leaves out of landscaped areas with backpack blowers and/or hand rakes. Extra work, such as cutting back perennials, cleaning pine needles, etc.., is available upon request. Fall Cleanup:Two visits may be required to ensure thorough clean-up. First visit is approximately between Oct 15- Nov 7th and the second visit Is, usually two or three weeks later. Service includes removal of leaves from turf and landscape areas using a combination of blowing, raking, mowing and bagging. Extra work, such as cutting back perennials, cleaning pine needles, etc.., is available upon request. De-thatching of Property: Service provides a heavy-duty de-thatch of lawn with de-thatcher attached to mower and debris collected in bagging system. An excessive thatch layer inhibits the effectiveness of watering & fertilization and promotes lawn disease. We recommend this on lawns with a thatch layer over 1 inch and to prep lawns prior to seeding. Aeration of Property:Service is a mechanical process that removes plugs of soil from lawn (plugs are left on turf and will gradually break down returning to organically enrich the soil). Aeration promotes root growth, reduces compacting of soil, and enhances the effects of fertilization and seeding. Debris Removal:If there is not a designated dump location available on the property site for clean-up debris, additional charges will apply to haul debris away. Overseeding:Service is generally completed following De-Thatching or Aeration over existing turf by roughing up the top soil using a rake and sowing seeds by hand or with a spreader. Seeds are raked to make good seed-to-soil contact and covered with topsoil. Lawn Maintenance:Includes weekly mowing, weed whipping and blowing hard surfaces clean of grass clippings. The base price is set according to a weekly mowing schedule on a specific day (Mon-Fri) when Early Bird Lawn Care is in your neighborhood. We may arrive a day or two later than normal during a rainy week or after a holiday. Shrub Trimming: The best time to prune most shrubs is in early spring before growth begins (approximately mid-March - mid-April), immediately following the bloom of early spring blooming shrubs or late fall when dormant (approximately mid-October- mid-November). Dead branches may be pruned at any time. Flower Garden Planting/Maintenance: Flower garden planting and/or maintenance is available based on each customer's specific needs. Our services include working with plants and/or shrubs, including selecting and purchasing plant material and products, installation and maintenance. Our services do not include landscaping with hard surfaces, such as installing boulders, landscape timbers, edging, etc.. However, we work very closely with a few reliable contractors. If you are in need of this type of work, we would be happy to provide you with the names of the contractors. Soil Sample:When establishing a new garden or lawn or trying to improve and existing one, it is beneficial to have your soil tested so you know what kind of nutrients you may need. Power Edging: Service is a mechanical process using a cutting edge attachment and cutting the turf away from hard surfaces, including sidewalks, driveways and some landscaping. It prevents the turf from growing over top of the hard surfaces and creates a clean edge along the hard surface. |
